| The Sefton & West Lancashire Deaf Children’s Society (SWLDCS) is a voluntary, independent self help charity affiliated to the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS). The SWLDCS is run by parents of deaf children and professionals who work with deaf children to provide information and support to families of deaf children and to the deaf child. Membership is free to deaf children, their parent’s or carers and professionals working with deaf children. | |||
| Some of the things that the SWLDCS do: * We hold monthly meetings - all are welcome * We organise family & children’s educational & social events. Our main annual events are: Alton Towers trip, bowling & pizza evenings, Christmas Party and a trip to a local Panto every Christmas. * We provide information & support * We work with other local organisations for deaf children * We help with funding of equipment for deaf children & families We have recently started a Facebook group to allow us to be more interactive with our members and allow members to give info and chat to each other.
